Because they require strength beyond what most of us can comprehend because they will battle this dreadful disease each and every day for the rest of their lives. Meet Daphna Bottcher, whose child McGwire was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 7. Believing that we all can have a powerful impact in the lives of others, if we are also brave and we live our story to the fullest to create a life full of meaning and purpose.
